Data protection compliance policies and audits

It can be said that due to the lack of laws regarding the protection of personal data, Türkiye was not considered to be a safe business partner to cooperate with. Hence, Turkish companies faced certain compability issues while trying to operate in Europe.

As an EU member candidate, Türkiye implemented a number of amendments and additions to pre-existing legislation in order to fulfill the requisites for EU membership. The effective implementation of these changes faced issues caused by a lack of integrity in the Turkish Constitution.

Consequently, the attempts to legalize and implement the changes did not comply with the mandates of the EU Parliament.
